Love/Hate Relationship
Am I the only one who has a love/hate relationship when it comes to working out? Like, it's always such a struggle for me to start the workout or go to the gym but then once you actually do it and get through it you're like "oh, that wasn't that bad!" But then the cycle continues the next day? 💀

I like working out when I can. However I get frustrated because I lose inches but not weight. I just want to drop 60 pounds but instead I'm down 7 inches and up three pounds.

That use to be me in the first month or so before I got my momentum going. Now I look forward to it every time and if I don't exercise I actually don't feel as great as I normally would. Gotta love dependency we build on our own bodily produced brain chemicals 😄

That's why I steadily saved up some money and made my backroom into a home gym. Now granted, it took almost 2 years to come together but I'm loving it. Cardio and weights have never been so easily accessible to me.

So for me, I found my "why" for the gym and decided on a regiment to accomplish why I wanted to go to the gym. Then committed myself to doing that, knowing that I may not enjoy some or alot of those days at the gym. That mindset and reminding myself of that why, have made the harder days a little less painful. That's just my experience though.

It's a struggle because you have to enjoy it enough to go back. I used to be a gym rat but now I don't have the time or drive to go to the gym even tho I have a membership there I make it in maybe once a week but I also walk like 23 miles or more a week at work so that could be why I'm tired.

Maybe psyche yourself up by playing music and hyping yourself to go to go over that mental hurdle?

No you're not the only one. When you have multiple things to do, I think it's quite normal have this kind of attitude, cause you know that a good workout ask for certain amount of time, time you don't have maybe

Gotta try to find active stuff that's fun and that you can look forward too... everyone thinks working out has to be running on a treadmill or lifting weights but as long as you're moving and busting a sweat it can literally be anything...be creative and I promise you'll find your fitness journey to be alot less tedious and alot more fun...some examples boxing, jump roping, parkour, dancing, mace swinging, juggling, hiking the list is endless...sooo many things you can do other then going to a gym.

It is a habit. Thus, consistency is key! It tskes 30 days to form a habit, 90 days to form a lifestyle.

I just read "Am I the only one" and my answer is: absolutely not. I can't remember someone using this and following with a one case in a billion scenario.

Try mixing it up a bit? It becomes monotonous when you do the same thing every day. Sometimes I dance, do cardio at home or outside. Otherwise I'd get bored.

Well if you're a cycleist it just kinda gets easier... CROSSTRAIN! Crosstraining is key to keep your fitness interesting...try different stuff. Also I have found I see better gains in weightlifting when I do so body and blood pumping hot off the bike. Don't rest after bike, PUMP! Drop and do pushups. The blood from your larger leg muscles now helps feed the rest of the body. I don't know if you are a weightlifter...but...you don't wanna go in and just jump under wieghts, getting the blood moving with a bit of cardio makes for a better workout.
