(English below, I don't speak Spanish, sorry) Oublie ta langue maternelle, pense comme un français. Think like a French speaker. Like now. Each language is a language on its own, not a translation of another language. It has its own rules, its own ways of saying, its own logic. Which lead native people to have a certain way of thinking that might not be your own. Embrace it. Don't fight it . So forget about all the "why French speakers say it like that??" It doesn't help, it just slows you down. Just accept that French speakers talk/think that way / say it like that, period. Don't wait to reach a certain level to immerse yourself in French. Right from the beginning, start watching films, series, videos, listening to radio shows, podcasts, etc. in French. Even if you don't understand everything, it'll allow you to get familiar with French melody and accustom your ear to French language, which is very important. If you're interested in a specific topic or subject, do your research in French. Learning a language also means making mistakes. You'll make some / plenty. It's normal and totally fine. Every mistake is a way to learn. Everyone makes mistakes, even native French speakers! So don't freak out! And most importantly, enjoy! (I'm a native French, teaching French as a foreign language and learning two languages myself)
