The mosque is located in Barobazar mouza. The one-domed mosque was discovered by the Archaeological Department in 1992-93. There are a few graves next to it. The mosque is built of small beautiful bricks on a 10/11 feet high platform. The entrance to the mosque is located in the north-east corner. A huge brick staircase descends from the entrance to the lake. The square-domed mosque has been rebuilt. Regular prayers are performed here. On the west wall there are 3 arches in semicircular terracotta design and decoration. Lime sand plaster work can also be noticed. There are small pillars on both sides of the arch. The central arch is made of bricks with flowers and herbs. This beautiful and artistic mosque of architecture is a symbol of Muslim civilization and excellence. It was probably established in 600 AH by Shah Sultan Mahmud Ibn Nusai. The mosque has similarities with the construction style of Sadiqpur Mosque, Khan Jahan Ali (R) Shrine, Sarsanagar Mosque in Dumuria, Shuvarada Mosque in Abhaynagar and Bibi Kerani Mosque in Bagerhat. During the reign of Sultan Mahmud Shah, the pond was probably dug for the needs of the worshipers for ablution and drinking water. A brick paved staircase has been found from the north-east entrance of the mosque to the bottom of Andhapukur.
