March 2, 1945 #OTD World War II: 1st Lieutenant Theodore Sedvert, flying a P-51 fighter, shot down Oberfaehrich Horst Netzeband, flying a Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter (Pictured). Netzeband was wounded in the hip, causing him to be unable to bail out and to be killed when the aircraft crashed near Dillingen, Germany at 0935 hours.
