Lighthouses are cool

Michigan has the most lighthouses of any state in the United States. The state has over 120 lighthouses that protect its coastline. Lake Superior is the coldest of the Great Lakes with an average temperature of between 36 and 39 degrees Fahrenheit (2 and 4 degrees Celsius). Michigan Yooperlite rocks are beautiful to look at under UV Ray light. Collecting rocks and agates is a common way to pass the time there. I did enjoy doing it.

In my teens I really wanted to work in a light house on a small island just off the the mainland. On my own. As an introvert the idea of getting paid to work far away from civilisation and alone is a dream come true. Haha
