Imagine a city from 4,500 years ago with advanced plumbing, multi-story buildings, and a thriving trade network spanning thousands of miles. This was Harappa, the Lost City of the Indus Valley Civilization. Harappa emerged around 2600 BC in what is now Pakistan. It became a major urban center with skilled artisans creating exquisite jewelry, intricate pottery, and advanced tools. The Harappans traded with distant lands like Mesopotamia, showcasing their remarkable reach and influence. But then, around 1900 BC, Harappa was suddenly abandoned. What caused this sophisticated city to disappear? Was it a natural disaster, an invasion, or climate change? We don't fully know, and the Harappans left behind no written records we can completely understand. Despite extensive excavations, much about Harappa remains unknown. Their impressive achievements continue to captivate us, while the reasons behind their sudden disappearance leave us with more questions than answers. #Harappa #LostCity #IndusValleyCivilization #AncientMystery #UrbanPlanning #AdvancedPlumbing #MultiStoryBuildings #TradeNetwork #Mesopotamia #AbandonedCity #NaturalDisaster #Invasion #ClimateChange #ArchaeologicalEnigma #UnwrittenRecords #AncientAchievements #HistoricalQuestions
