This has happened twice to me and I suspect it was because they knew I could see through them. Not that they were bad at their job. Well, one kind of was.

Every therapist I've seen has been confused to why I'm there and give me advice random strangers online have been giving me for free for years now. My current one at least seems cool and I just talk to him very bluntly and honestly. Not sure if it's helping me more than it's helping him lmao.

As someone who has done a lot of therapy - I'll just say, the reasoning behind the discomfort you feel could be lots of different things. But the most important thing, always? If it doesn't feel right, find someone else. It's meant to be a safe space. If you are self-conscious and uncomfortable with the situation, while trying to figure yourself out, it'll be really hard. Much harder than it need sto be, if not nearly impossible. Be kind to yourself. Good and honest therapists know and don't take personally the fact that they don't work rk with/for everyone. And especially with online services like Better Help, these days, there are lots of options. 🌿

She legit acted like she was giving me a pacifier with her face each time she looked at me cuz my bf is so well spoken and I feel a bit too much.. And you guys know we see all sides of the situation simultaneously so that was a huge backseat issue for me. I felt like I was supposed to shut up and let her guide us into breaking up, (which was what she was telling us needed to happen/ I had to tell her we were an anxious attached couple different types though and what our myers Briggs types were and that they mattered tremendously and she was just CLUELESS)… I almost feel bad for people like that cuz you can’t be upset with them if they don’t know that this stuff holds heavy relevance in the dating world and the world in general. And now he gave me a key to his new place so we’re using me for right now as a therapist.. lol it’s really rough sometimes but I love him and we get through it. Love you guys. 🙃🙂😇😉😌

Yes my first couples therapist was a male and he was analyzing me a bit too much at first so I kinda only stated vague answers and dove into my deeper side and stayed there as proof of me being a true person instead of pouring my heart and soul out like I would an empathetic female possibly.. (If demanded for my love.) But yeah I saw straight through him.. And woo that second one was a doozy too, the comment is on here somewhere. lol I def had to tell that lady politely how I felt and leave. My next therapist will be an INFJ for sure and a female. I need someone else to utilize their own careful empathic judgement the way I always consider doing. ✨💖
