Blanket validation is not healthy. I'd change it to 'baggage is like a schoolbook, there are lessons you need to learn in there, but you should never expect someone else to carry it for you' The victim card is way more complex. I would change it to 'you deserve to be understood, but if you only go looking for the ways people wrong you, then that's all you'll find. We need to understand each other to encourage respect'
