1yFELLAS: Do you prefer a “traditional wife” or a “professional woman”?
*Traditional meaning, a housewife who cares for her husband, raises the children and takes care of the home. #relationshipadvice #selfcare #love #friends #virgo #lifeadvice #questionftheday #selfiee #astrology #marriage #lifeadvice #dating #romance ✨Thank you ALL for sharing ♥︎ You guys are amazing, this comment section is 🔥 ✨LADIES: YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO JOIN THE DISCUSSION. Why not both? In a hypothetical situation, if I am not working and the wife is (also hypothetical, still single, lol), my masculinity isn't challenged to keep the house clean and make sure dinner is ready. I'm flexible to what works for both of us to survive (apparently that's what makes me ideal because I can keep a clean house and make decent food while being manly about it, so my sisters say😂). It doesn't matter to me what my partner does, so long as she does something. If she wants to work, great. If she wants to take care of the house/kids, I'm cool with that. If she wants to pursue creative endeavors, charity work, community service, politics, good for her. The only thing that I won't accept is a partner who does nothing. Otherwise, follow your dreams and we will split the rest of the work accordingly.

If she values me, respects me and cares about me and my needs, gives affirmation and attention, it's not important how traditional she is or isn't.

I prefer someone who wants to be whatever they want. I've dated both and can adjust for either. You be you and I'll be me, we will connect and grow through our Love, respect, and commitment to one another. Love isn't about labels given, it's about connections grown.

Traditional.

From experience professional partners are more demanding and more judgemental. They struggle to seperate their issues at work from home life too. This can make them feel less invested in the relationship and can cause other negative effects on the relationship. However unless you are quite successful in the modern economy it's hard to justify a non-working partner, especially to the partner themself. A lot of people want a backup plan and/or independance too in case things go wrong, even if that hurts the relationship. I would 'prefer' a traditional partner who can invest herself and her time more into me, our family and our relationship. But, I understand that being traditional is scary for some who don't want to put 100% of their faith in one person providing for them and not betraying them in the modern climate. It's better to have a happy partner than a sad traditional partner.

Don't really care as long as she is there for me and cares for me. Not too into her job but don't need a trad wife.

I think it really depends on each couple and their specific situation. Both partners have to agree to the specific arrangement of their household. If a husband makes the income to support a one income household and the wife is more interested in staying home than working, great. If a one income household is unobtainable and a wife wants to work then you may have a hybrid situation. If a wife isn't interested in anything other than a career then there is no option but a career woman because she will be miserable staying home. These are things that need to be figured out before a couple jumps into a committed relationship. If your goals and views of what a family should be aren't aligned, the relationship won't work. One caveat I will add is that when children are involved their needs to be some sacrifice to allow for more time devoted to them by at least one parent. It's not fair to have both parents not completely invested in the children.

Both they say? Well, I’ve been both in my relationships with little help from the partner. And that’s extremely depleting. Unfortunately a lot of men only care about what they’re getting out of the relationship.

Some traditional values are great though we live in a time where so much is acceptable that we can keep the best of both worlds.

Traditional. I'd like to come home from 12 hour shifts to a relationship, not "another tired worker bee, who just wants to briefly enjoy her free time, crash and back to the grind tomorrow." Realistically, the house would still need cleaning, meals would still need prepping. Errands would still need running during business hours(notable especially for me, being a former trucker/current 3rd shifter) All things a "housewife" could take care of WITHOUT bringing kids into the equation. If the plan for kids is "arrange childcare while we're working and school isnt, and hope they don't miss the bus otherwise". Don't have kids. USA-centric answer perhaps, but we have enough children being babysat by a screen, and far too few 2 parent households actually being parents.
