Who else cringes to the fact our type is called "Genius"?
Even more so when someone then refer to themselves as a genius because of it... (albeit many times jokingly, I'm sure) It's just so...cringe ๐๐คฃ

Okay... But what if you are INTP and are an actual genius? I don't think its pretentious to state my obvious ๐ค (especially when I struggle with communicating with those who aren't "similar") so many people act like it's a super power when it's not..... However, I did, find it odd to use genius as a descriptor of personality. Perhaps thinker is a better fit....

It makes me feel like a douche to have "genius" in my profile, like saying, "I was accepted to Mensa" to people in my fedora and ironic mustache tattoo. For the record, I have none of these things, was not accepted into Mensa ever, and am quite boring, and I try to not be a douche. I actually don't think I'm a genius irl either, so it's double embarrassing that it's on my profile. I'd say my biggest ability as an INTP is to suspend disbelief. When other people don't think this way, the conversations are often the other person going, "I don't know if that's always true," or "Be careful not to generalize," when I'm just trying to illustrate a concept, not necessarily trying to prove something. Not to be all "we're misunderstood," but it do be like that. I guess I do appreciate the internet telling people that I'm not dumb, give me a chance, lol!

I do like to jokingly brag about it when I win arguments, but I generally do not even notice anything different. I've changed
I was once an INFP but then after something happened that changed myself the way I understand about world, love and others. And a year after I retake mbti test and now become an INTP. Or maybe I can say that i am an INXP. And I just realized this video was the reason why.
