Hello! Has anyone made their own board game before? If so, any advice on making a first one? I'm assuming similar to indie gamedev, "don't try to make your dream game at first. Start small and manageable." Well I already failed that step, so what's next? Thanks in advance!

Out with friends at an amazing little game store called Spiel Bound. It is full of donated games and lots of table space. It is also a store front selling board and card games.

They have drinks and snacks on hand as well! Great for a fun date, group outing or taking the family as they have lots of games for kids too.

Pictionary vs 30 Seconds ?

During the days just prior to Halloween, a few of us (family & friends) got together to play this new Castlevania-like themed boardgame.  I'd recommend it.  It plays a bit similar to the Betrayal games which are also really good.  The game is coop vs. so one player is the Dracula character while the other characters are vampire slayers but it is possible for someone to switch factions.  I started of as a slayer on the slayer team, then I got converted (somewhat intentionally).  I could have become a vampire on the slayers side (like Alucard), but instead opted to drink a werewolf blood potion turning me into a werewolf vampire and siding with Dracula (my brother initially the only villain player).  I almost became as strong as Dracula himself and I had my own army of minions independent of Dracula's minions.  I was a major threat to the slayers, yet the slayers got to Dracula before I got to them.  I never had so much fun not winning.
