马桶冲水
Mǎtǒng chōng shuǐ I've noticed when we start learning a new language, there's usually so much emphasis on travel words or how to order food in a restaurant. One of the reasons I want to learn languages is so that I can communicate with people and use it in my daily life. Just now, I learned how to say flush the toilet in Chinese. It's something so mundane that I hadn't thought to learn it until it came up. Two days ago, I learned how to say brush my teeth and wash my face: 洗脸刷牙. While I do read and loosely follow the HSK path, I try to concentrate more on words and phrases I will actually use vs a bunch of flashcards and books. It would be great to get to intermediate or even business level later on, right now I'll be happy to be able to describe my day 🤗 My basic foundation is still pretty weak but my goal is to be able to hold a simple conversation in chinese by my birthday 🥰
