What Has Been Your Favourite Language to Learn/Speak?

Question

For those who are learning/know a different language from your native language, what has been your favourite, and why?

I’m learning French, and how things are said just sounds so… delicious. It’s a beautiful language. I can’t wait until I’m fluent enough to express more nuanced thoughts. I prefer journaling in French, even though it’s not as fluid.

I speak French and even though I don't have a large vocabulary in it, I love to talk it! I prefer having talks much more in French than in German or English, just because the words slide off so lightly off the lips and French can also be used "singingly".

I think it's also better because you tend to have in French the verb in the beginning of the sentence, unlike in German, where you have the verb in the end, at least when you're talking past tense. Makes it easier to follow in my opinion.

It was total horror to learn tho. If you're serious about learning French, just get experience. Nobody cares about the exact grammatical rules in French, just try to sound good, that'll take you pretty far. You can start learning the rules once you can have a decent conversation, otherwise you'll just end up with a lot of headache. Hope this helps!

I love the sound of Japanese, and it's grammar. It's incredibly "logical" and the pronunciation is very nice on the ears. The writing is an absolute nightmare though.
And nothing beats swearing in my native (Spanish) language. We have such a rich combination of words to insult and swear 🤣🤣🤣.
