Did you know the first literary writing we've ever found by any human was written by a woman?

High priestess Enheduanna ruled the city-state of Ur in the 24th century BC. She took over the city on behalf of her father Sargon of Akkad and dedicated the city to Innana, the goddess of war and fertility (later known as Aphrodite). Priestess Enheduanna's poems and stories were so popular that schools used them to teach kids how to write, which is why many clay tablets of her work (written 4,300 years ago!) still exist today.
