Their kindness leaves them lonely with a love that's overgrown

Their selfless souls shine brightly, in the dark of night
A gentle heart, that beats for others, but forgets its own light

They say "be strong", with a voice that's loud and clear
But depression's whispers, can bring even the strongest to fear

It creeps in with the shadows, and steals the light of day
And the weight of its darkness, can be hard to find a way

What are some distinct features that you notice among geniuses?

A weight that's carried with a steady hand
May still be crushing, beneath the surface grand

A burden wished upon, or a curse that's told
A heart that's heavy, with a weight that's hard to hold

We seem to have forgotten the path we took to get to where we are we did not go from riding horses one day to formula one or top fuel dragsters the next we worked up to ground speeds being what they are today and alot of that progress came from knowing the ground we were going faster and faster on the same thing is true of flying we did not go from no flight to supersonic jets over night yet when it comes to space travel we think we need to go from getting outside of earths atmosphere to light speed thats just nonsense we want to travel faster than light through uncharted space like driving a race car as fast as it will go blind folded because that makes sense space travel will have to be slow and painstaking like everything else we can't travel through space at speed until we have mapped it slowly and cleared the roads of any obstacles we still have to constantly maintain our roads and railroads right so we can't fly down roads we have not even built yet now can we

We need to crawl before we can walk

They always seem to make something of themselves.  

You saw that in them, and you even started to learn for yourself, some of what you respected about them.  That's why they have their own life. That might be the reason you have your own life.
