Yes, men cry. I don't hate emotional people, but I try to avoid people who get overly emotional because they tend not to be able to control their actions when they're emotional.

Men=humans, so yes, it's normal. Expressing ur emotions is normal. Why is it normal to laugh, but crying is taken as something shameful? I'm not talking about the extremes, but if we take a normal average person, why should that be a problem? Men go through the same things as women, sometimes even more pressure, so why do they have to hide? It's not a sign of weekness, it means you are human and you care. It shows you are vulnerable, and if you do it in front of someone, it requires lots of courage. Being vulnerable doesn't mean you are weak. As humans we need to accept both our feminine and masculine sides whoever we are. There's nothing wrong with that

I agree and with the higher pressure the rate of men suicidal death is higher the females, but females have a higher rate of attempted suicide.

@Grey Wyvern To me just means you need to develop yourself and get in order with your feelings it is not okay to bottle everything up and carry it just because you were brainwashed into thinking that is what you should do i do not use the phrase "a real men" as a way to cast prejudice or judgment upon a person but as to describe a person of the male gender that is in touch with himself that is "complete" per say, I hope I was able to clarify.

I’m emotional but I’ve learned that while respecting my emotions I also need to use my mind and reason. To cry is to express your feelings and to feel is to be human and last time I checked we men are human. So I don’t see a problem with men crying and I try to normalize it all the time

Men should cry! Why shouldn't we? We are human beings and the meaning of being strong is so outdated. Show me if you have something you worrying about! Dont hesitate to cry in front of someone. I'm very emotional. I would love to have a boyfriend someday who don't hesitate to show his feelings.

The fact that we can cry means that it serves a very specific purpose for our body. From a evolutionary perspective, it is a feature of our body that increases our survival. Perhaps it is the mechanism that calms a hunter after a near death experience, or, more abstractly, the mechanism that which releases the emotional burden one faces. The rules that tell us not to cry are superficial. The rules that tell us to cry are anchored to our survival, it is something made for us to do.

Here some issues that arises abt this topic. Ppl want men to show emotions but it can be a double edge. Some of their partners get turned off, they lose confidence or they look at their men differently. This is why some dont show their emotions becus ppl will turn it against them or think of them unfavourable. Its a wacky world we live in. If ppl hate emotional people, then men showing their softer side put themselves in a spot.

By my side, I literally stopped crying in 2017 after an "event" i won't talk about But to be honest, it's not because I'm not able anymore to express it that it's not happening inside, and I really, really miss my body to allow itself to do #broken 😅

So glad you said it. Men really have to bear so much weight on their shoulders and stay quiet despite it all. I do not have emotional people, rather I believe that emotions are just as important as logic, sometimes even more important than that.

I'm not against fellas crying it's a natural emotion. I just hate doing it around anyone would have to be pretty sloshed for that to happen. And don't want it to be weaponised against me in the future depending on who would see it. I also don't hate emotional people just too socially awkward to know what to say or do. Don't know if they want the pat on the shoulder or not.

Yes and appreciate it because you don't know how much it hurts not to be able to cry. No physical pain, death, song, heartbreak, etc... not a single tear for more than 8 years. It takes real strength to cry.

Did I cry when I was sexually abused, bullied, etc. No, because "why should a man cry, they don't have feelings". I didn't want people to know I was sensitive. I hate it so much.
