Being able to have heart-to-heart talks about big issues, as well as open and honest communication about everything, including the little things (even, and especially, the irritating things) is vital to any healthy relationship. 6. If your absence doesn’t bother them then your presence never mattered to them in the first place. 7. It is better to adjust your life to their absence than adjusting your boundaries to accommodate their disrespect. 8. It is funny but the truth that when you start feeling happy alone, that is when everyone decides to be with you. No one likes a person with insecurity. 9. Being unique is better than being perfect. Create your own identity, don't dream about becoming like someone else, instead work and create such a legacy that someday people would dream becoming like you. 10. High standards protect you from low quality experiences. Reasons to have high standards include that you are more likely to achieve your goals. You will create better relationships. You will feel happier about yourself and your life. 11. If someone isn’t as excited to talk to you as you are, then just stop talking to that person. You are only going to hurt yourself more with each conversation. You do not need to strive to be accepted. 12. It only takes few seconds to hurt someone, but sometimes it takes years to repair the damage. Cherish the hearts that love you.
