HealthCARE
When patients tell me stories of negative experiences with doctors and exams it really upsets me. I always encourage my patients to trust what their bodies are telling them and to advocate for themselves. Diminishing symptoms and brushing off patients' concerns is the opposite of caring. If you're going to be in the medical field you need to listen empathetically and actually give a damn. It's called health care for a reason; you need to care about people's health.

It's a systemwide issue. US Med admissions process primarily values academic stats. While some institutions are making inroads on how they select future doctors (comprehensive approach), it's not enough. Well, and it's exacerbated by not enough program seats. It's not that surprising when some docs are nothing more than apathetic medical dictionaries. I'm sorry you've had that experience. I have too. 😞

Slow Replies 🤔
Why do some people take forever to reply, like I will send messages, they come online and read it, and no response till at least 5 days or so. I don't understand, it feels like the conversation is dying 🧐
