To me, the author seems to be saying that we should avoid ideas and beliefs because they are inevitably false. And we should rule out all the false in our minds to be able to see the truth, which seems almost tautological. He is doing so by expressing his ideas and personal beliefs, which seems like a contradiction. I think he might be using a specific jargon I don't know about which would make those words more insightful. I'm genuinely curious to know your reflections, why you felt like sharing them and what I might be missing to understand his point.
