We homeschooled most of our kids. It worked great for some. Not so well for others. Structure can be good but it makes schooling more complicated and time consuming. Also consider the impact on higher education enrollment. Many universities don’t accept home school education. That was my kids experience. Community college can be a way to overcome that. Then transfer to a regular university. Let your kids socialize with sports and extracurricular activities in the local schools. They need the social learning too. Good luck.

Having been homeschooled, I say this: School is not just about learning facts. (Which you obviously know) School is about shaping your ability to navigate the world. How you interact with others. How you interact with authority. How you deal with stress, responsibility, time limits. Homeschoolers can lose out on some pretty important formative experiences, particularly with regards to social interactions. Is every social interaction in school good? Of course not. Sometimes bad experiences teach you valuable lessons. I've also got a bit of a chip on my shoulder about homeschooling and the usual lack of sexual education... I'm not claiming public school necessarily does it right, but from my limited experience, most parents would rather leave their kids to fend for themselves than have embarrassing conversations with them.
