People don't fall inlove anymore. They just find a temporary attachment who can entertain them.

Some people aren't ready to settle down, and in all honesty you don't want them to try if it isn't in their nature. That's a direct path to a broken heart. Given the frequency that I see these sorts of posts from people of all genders there are definitely hopeless romantics roving about.

I find failed relationships are a really good wake up call for hopeless romantics. Well those that can excersize some self awareness.

I am here for anyone looking for a word, but I walked away from it and haven't looked back. Life is a lot more peaceful away from the great entanglement.

That’s really sad.. 😞 But true, honestly. I like to say “Rich are not they who have a lot, but those who need little”. I wish people would search for that beautiful commitment and self-growth, than seeking this hedonistic variety which won’t grow them as people. It’s the difficulties in relationships and friendships that *truly* grow you as a person.. Imo it’s beautiful, because none of us is perfect. We were made specifically this way in order to NEED others. And from those others we can grow, and grow them too. 😊 That’s why I personally value people more nowadays who seek this interpersonal level of connection. Not like I hate anyone who doesn’t, but this is a value of mine that I have. Love and commitment grows you as a person.

I'd say the notion of 'falling in love' and living happily ever after is just a Disney pipedream we've all been spoonfed growing up honestly. And then in music, you can't get away from it. It sells well. It's a nice idea after all! But it's not an accurate representation of human relations. It was never a real thing in the real world. The divorce rates are a great indication of this. Or try talking to people about dating pre-internet. They had very similar frustrations. But as many have mentioned, pre-internet, options were few and far between. People always choose the path of least resistance. It used to be easier to stick it out and see if someone could work out before. Now it's easier to move on. Sure, some people are not interested in settling down at all, but the majority are still very traditional in that they do, but they are looking for mr or miss right. It's dangerous to approach relationships with others as anything other than temporary. The one certainty in life is CHANGE WILL HAPPEN. Nothing lasts forever. Even if you do live, laugh, love happily ever after, death is around the corner. Everything is always temporary. Existence is not static, but moving chaotically. It's what makes life precious and gives meaning to the paths we take in life. If you go in hoping for forever, then you can miss out on being thankful for what you had just for that moment.

You know I can totally relate to that. Some people do see relationships like that and it’s painful and stupid. Someone always gets hurt from it

It's just unfair that we gave them all the attention, time and effort we even prioritized them yet treated us like an option

You couldn’t be more wrong in one way, and more right in another. Love isn’t an emotion you fall in to, that’s just hollywood nonsense taken from romantic period fiction. Love is the act (verb) of supporting someone through thick and thin while not expecting anything back because you believe deeply it will make the world a better place if you do. I have never told a partner “I love you”, because it means absolutely nothing and can’t be anything but emotionally manipulative. Yet none of them ever needed me to say it because it was clear as day. It is sad but you’re right there is so little love in the world these days that most people don’t even know what it is anymore.

That’s why I only advertise what matters. And making connections based on what matters. (Personality, Heart, etc. Non-materialistic) That way you are more likely to find a person who values you for *those* things, and not money, or status. Though even with this filter, it’s not easy! Genuine and sweet people exist, but there’s also some who are wolves in sheep’s clothing. 😕 But yeah, have you ever wondered why most humans love animals and believe they are innocent? Though in reality they aren’t, they can be just as mean (and even cruel and judgemental) towards eachother.. However, an Animal doesn’t judge your: Gender, Money, Looks, Job, Education, Political Orientation, and more.. An animal loves you for who you are, without any surface level judgement or even words. Just love and appreciation. And that’s something Humans love a lot from pets, cause sadly their fellow Humans happen to not be as sweet.. And maybe even those Humans themselves can be judgemental of others, but animals always *force* them to drop that judgement because they can’t judge an animal for the same things. It’s a less self-aware way of learning true love imo. But the self-aware and developed Humans can do this to their fellow humans more too.

Some* some people don't fall in love anymore because people now days are not what they used to be... I still fall in love and try to find permanent things, but again... people ain't like that no more... and I'm tired of having my heart broken, so I don't say anything...

Depends on the person, some people want hook up, some want company, some just want to know the person before they commit to them, and the ones are last in the list, another just loves their own freedom less commitment.
