We don't actually ask for much; we just want someone to "love us in a language we understand."But the truth is,humans aren't built to love in the exact same way. Some are good with words, while others are quiet. Some are expressive, while others keep everything tucked inside. The problem isn't about who loves more or who loves less. It’s that we are using "our own standards" to interpret "someone else's feelings." Because we are used to one specific type of love, we accidentally think that: If they don’t do it that way, it means they don't feel it. If they don’t speak, it means they don’t miss us. If they don't show it, it means they don't care. When in reality, they might be loving us exactly as they are. It’s just that... we fail to see it. Growth in a relationship isn't about molding someone into who we want them to be. It’s about gradually learning how this person actually feels in their own unique way. Some people never say "I love you," but they never disappear. Some aren't very expressive, but they are always right there by your side. Some types of love aren't vivid to the eyes, but they are "consistent" in their actions. And sometimes, what hurts us isn't that they don't love us. It's because they don't love us in the language we are familiar with. If we can truly understand this, we will stop judging themby what they "fail to give"and start noticing what they are "trying to give" in their own way instead. Because in the end, a love that lasts isn't a love where everything is identical. It’s a love where we are willing to learn from one another, even in our differences
