I have noticed for a while that in everyday society people tarnish others. They gossip, spread false information, lie, and steal from others. This may be not physical, and it could be stealing their joy. If that joy is a good joy, because I too agree if your enjoyment is causing pain to others then it should be stolen, and destroyed but carrying on do you actually care about others mental health because I dont see one bit of change anywhere. In fact depression has risen, and the economy is falling.

I'd like to think I do. My friend struggles with many mental health issues, some of which can put a big strain on our relationship. Despite that, we work things and and I always motivate her to continue getting help, continue improving herself, and just show her support for any good changes that come. I'd be lying if I said I was being completely altruistic about it. I still want some kind of love and kindness back, but I think those are just qualities of a normal friendship. So in conclusion, YES, and I think there's a lot of people that genuinely do care. Not only people like me, but also the hundreds of workers that help people in therapy everyday.

I honestly do, though there have been times I wish I didn't because I cannot fix everything, and stessing myself out over other people's issues is not that good for my own mental health... But it's all about your mindset. A lot of people think that strengths and weaknesses are predefined, that life is constantly throwing challenges in which you have to prove yourself to be better than others, or you're defined a failure. Thus this creates situations where your succes is based on other people's failures. Talking ill about others is often a sign of people's own insecurities. But it's important to understand that every failure is an opportunity to learn. Skills aren't predefined, they're build by challenging yourself, so there is no point in bringing others down.

I would say that I definitely care about the mental health of others. I hate gossip, and hate when people treat others badly just because.

Yes and no. I don't want to hear a novel of how bad life is for you, a list of problems and general "depression" talk. Recognition of your mental problem and seeking help are solely your responsibility. It shouldn't be visited on others. Expecting strangers to emotionally support you is selfish and unrealistic. It also pushes people away.

To tend and care for another's mental health while battling you're own is a tough one I do like caring for those around me but battling an on going battle with yourself on a daily basis is a rough one but you'd rather see someone else happy compared too the happiness you give you're self so little of

It depends. It may sound harsh, but if all you do is keep complaining about life without trying to improve your situation, then of course nothing is going to change for you. It is definitely sad when people actually lack control of the situation though, like teenagers stuck living with parents or siblings who only make the situation worse, or people who can't really afford to seek help.

Yes ~ to me, it seems to be good morally. We exist in this tiny speck of dust in an infinite sea. It's all so indifferent to us and our existence (and of course it is, it's not like a living entity {I mean, maybe it is; I don't know shxt}) When there's so much indifferent to us, how can I be indifferent? I know the answer is 'rather easily' but if I can offer advice, encouragement, and compassion, and I can do so only at the cost of time and thought ~ then I feel I most assuredly should. Some of us have the will to do so, and will doesn't run dry.

in my pov, i very much do, cause i think the best people is not the richest one but, the one that the most useful person to society, either change they bring, either empathy, either being considered, or helping in mental health, just giving the best i can give, in turns its up to them cause it's not my area of concern anymore, lots of case that sometimes person with mental health problem didn't like getting help, and it's their choice but to me leaving them in their lowest current state is didn't wiser either, just being there for them is already a great help with or without they realize itβπ»

Yes. I care about my mental health first, but also about others. Not just because of empathy. Because others' mh affects everyone. Ppl with mental health issues will be less productive at work, affecting their peers. They will get into bad habits and destructive habits that will affect others. One can imagine any range of outcomes from crazy Karen behavior to mass shootings. And if behavior on that scale enters your household or workplace, it will have detrimental effects on your life.
