Before Trinidad came with 'Bacchanal Time' in 1979, Suriname came with 'Wan Pipel' (One People) which celebrated the unity of Indian and African descendants of slavery and indentured slavery, amidst their social divide caused by the Europeans who brought and ruled over them. What is worth noting is that the backgrounds of both communities have been brilliantly focused keeping even their languages (Dutch, Sarnami Hindustani and Sranan Tongo) in their rooted form. The characters and the setting have been well-fleshed out and showcased without any additional gloss. A great film to understand 'another side' of the Indian community for a layman and for a history and diaspora history enthusiast, this is a strongly must-watch.

I think Westworld might be my favourite show, the amount of intrigue in it is exceptional
Appart from the filler scenes with maeve though, I primarily loved all the Ford philosophical and intrigue scenes ofcourse.
