Rate the Film: 1978’s Superman The Movie.
Where would you rate Superman The Movie? Feel free to express your thoughts and opinions in the comments. For me: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. While I’m not the biggest Superman fan, it is perhaps the best representation of Superman and one of the best, if not the best live action Superman film. The characters are great including Christopher Reeve who, despite the glasses thing, does change enough when going from Clark Kent to Superman and vice versa which you can tell by some of his subtle actions and facial expressions. Gene Hackman is a fun villain as Lux Luthor. I do prefer the animated Luthor more, but the early version is still fun. It’s not entirely perfect as some of the effects like flying is pretty dated and the dumb ending that makes no sense, but the good stuff in this film does balance it out for the most part.
