Okay, serious question. Since so many people seem to enjoy horror movies, here. What draws you to them and what is your favourite one? I'm going to need real recommendations. Read why in description below 👇🏽
Never really been into the genre as I find 90% of them are simply unrealistic, hence NOT scary. If you say horror, I need it to scare me, not make me laugh at how silly it is. Thanks, in advance 🙏🏽 #horror #film #horreur

Well you might not have the proper mindset to allow yourself to be scared by a movie, if you can't lower your guard and believe in the movie, it ain't got any chance d: I personally find Ju-on the grudge to be an excellent watch. Turn off the lights, grab a blanket, watch completely alone d:

Hmm so you want a realistic horror film? I assume you mean with a premise that’s believable, not realistic gore. That’s a tough one - most of my faves are fantastical (Suspiria, Rote Lippen, (the original) Ring, House (again the Japanese one)). Neon Demon was good, about the beauty industry and the demented results of competitiveness; Us was a solid home invasion. TBH the news presents enough genuine horror for me these days; I can only handle cartoonish and camp violence these days although I do love a good freaky thriller - gotta give props to “Sorry to bother you” for the way it just goes haywire at the end; oh and “High Rise” is a good one from UK about people going mad in a tower block and “Kill List” both directed by Ben Wheatley are creepy and shocking.

American Horror story; although not a film it is my favorite example of perfect storytelling and horror I can recommend

THE ORPHANAGE(Spanish version is the best)OR THE OTHERS.... complete psychological torment, brilliant original storyline. Also there are so many Japanese horror films that completely take the cake. (edited)
