Heavy metal vocalists!
How to improve my screams and how to actually gain volume? I've been practicing but the problem is I'm in the wrong place... Nobody can actually help me this side... No I'm not a vocalist fulltime or anything, but would love to be some day soon... But first I need to become better.

Edit: oops I just realised you specifically asked for Heavy Metal Vocalists, I hope you don't mind me commenting then 😂 I don't specifically do screams, but I am learning to do voice work, which might mean my tips aren't so valid, but some stuff that I learned with trying to get more volume is 1. Make sure to warm up your voice a bit and have the throat be loose, since the louder you go, the more the sound comes from your throat 2. Open your mouth a lot to let the sound come out a lot more 3. Committ to the volume, if you are hesitant about the sound or the volume, you're probably gonna subconsciously go softer

How'd you get started? I'm kinda interested in learning myself, but Id also like to keep my voice intact haha

Oh your voice will be intact, if anything, it won't harm your voice... If it does, chances are high that your technique is incorrect. So there's different ways to do a scream, but I guess the first to go off with is the fry scream. There's several tutorials on YouTube, yes you can trust most of them.
