I'm no feminist. I see no need for that extreme. But I am after the most essential balance. As I have no need to be treated like a completely helpless damsel in distress, just because I mention a painful past, or where my emotional intelligence evolved. I've killed enough of my own dragons to have earned plenty of respect. And just because I admire the heroic masculine spirit, and want to see plenty of it in my future groom, that doesn't mean I need it from every stranger or first encounter. And I am tired of the people who think I need to be rescued or something right now, when they're about ten years too late. I want to scream this song to all the silly men in the world, who can't be patient and respectful enough, to wait to be asked, before he assumes that someone like me needs their help!
