Maybe it's weird but Fiddler on the Roof. I was in a community play as a kid and it was one of the best experiences of my young life. I also loved the story. It's about a Jewish man in 1900s Russia with 3 daughters and him dealing with them getting married. His first daughter marries a poor boy but he gets over it. His second daughter marries a soldier and leaves to go to war and the dad accepts. But his last daughter wants to marry a Christian and he just won't accept that. He disowns her. At the end of the play the government kicks them from their village and the dad and last daughter lock eyes before they disperse forever.

Cause Jonathan Larson puts the narrative in the POV of some community in the 80s that used to be pushed away from society, like the LGBT community and the HIV posivity ones. The songs from Rent are also Amazing btw La vie Bohème is one of the most remarkable songs in the musical théâtre world

Went and saw SIX last night with my bestie for her birthday at Soroyan Theater in Fresno. Great production filled with raw talent and a bit of HERstory. Didn't love it but enjoyed it. A few songs are pretty lit tho. 💜👑👑👑👑👑👑💜 (edited)
