Most people imagine NYC as a nonstop glamorous movie set: rooftop parties, perfect skyline views, instant success, and exciting nights every day. Pop culture mostly shows the nicest 1–2% of the city: trendy neighborhoods, influencers’ lifestyles, and carefully edited images. In reality, New York is a normal, very dense city with regular problems: high rent, crowded streets, aging subway, noise, and visible poverty.
