I personally think it is too hard to live off one basic income alone unless one has a lucrative career. Both parties should be able to save their own money so splitting bills makes the most sense to me. What do you think?

I don't mind being the only (or primary) income, as long as she is doing most of the household work. The general idea is for us to have nothing that NEEDS doing at the end of the day, so we are free to do things together. Though, that's for a marriage scenario... the only financial aspect I even look at in a POTENTIAL partner is that she's not being irresponsible. Otherwise, it makes no difference to me.
