I'm here since 3 months or so, and i don't understand something. People swipe right, match but the second we talk they just avoid some more deeper conversation. Why match with someone and talk to them if it's just to have some little talks ? Don't you found this boring past the first few conversations ? Like why are you here if you're not willing to talk about yourself a little bit ? People are here complaining about others not responding but just answer like they are not really interested. I like to know the day or little things about people but i also like people who can, know how and like talking about themselves, their life, or just life in general but in a more deeper way (not necessarily some very personal stuff) What do you think ? This is so true, while I've spoken to a few people here who have really great minds and hearts, there are also the rest of them who are probably either shy or a little more conservative towards how they feel. Breaking the ice really helps, but then again.. communication is a two way street.. if you're on the one way road for some time, it's probably time to move on to the next.. hope you get more people coming your way with better communication that suits your style.. I think it's a bit of a confidence/shyness thing. Some people are more open than others. But I think all conversation starts with a little small talk. But I definitely get what your saying. I matched with one person on an app who said a whole lot of cool, yeah, huh, etc. And I had to tell them flat out that our conversations weren't going anywhere because I did most of the talking. I hate it if I upset them but they just didn't have much to say.

Are your interlocutors English? We are stereotypically unnerved by the prospect of serious conversation. (Or at least the men are.) It has taken me a lifetime to learn that when someone asks, "how are you?", you are not supposed to answer accurately. Particularly if you are having a bad day. I recently read a post in this very same app saying that dating sometimes feels like tech support: you just keep telling your story over and over again. So it's not hard to imagine that, eventually, people just get tired of doing so. Now according to my own experience, being the person who messages first, makes questions, compliments and comes up with new subjects to keep the conversation going, being the most engaged one, can only get you a broken heart. So I changed my methods. Now if they message me and make a question, show interest, I answer and make another question. Otherwise, I just let the conversation rest in cordiality.
