Philosophy writing about A Bright Star in the Sky 💫 ✍️

Why does my soul dream of wanting to be like the star, the one shining in the sky, as if it were distinguished by its height? Alone, it lives its entire life alone, facing the clouds of the night and the heat of the sun during the day. From afar, it dies of longing, and from being close, it dies from exploding, because of its closeness to other stars. As if it forgot that the sky has no barriers, but only distances. Does the star know that it is a star? Or is it like us, not knowing its own truth except by someone telling it, until it learns that it has a light that illuminates the way for those whose boat has become lost at night? How lonely and miserable it is. It has forgotten what was written about it in the books of history and mythology, science and space, even in geometry and astronomy. Does it know how important it is to people when it falls? The moment it falls, thousands of wishes are made. It is the only fall that makes everyone’s eyes happy. Is it because it was up high, so they were happy to see it fall? Or because it has a presence even in the darkness of the night? For the stars have learned how to use their light for the world. And we have studied it, yet we never learned how to illuminate ourselves with it in the world.
