Seems you're trying to take an abstract concept, "trees", and generalize them with one singular description word. When each type of tree, in each location, has different colors in/on them. Many vastly different leaves contain the chemicals for all of those colors, or at least many of them. Then we also have to question, what is "real", what is the definition we are using? How do we decide what is real?

Trees often change colour, that's the funny thing about trees. Something is alive but all its parts are inorganic elements working together, moving and changing in synergy with that life, are they the life itself or just part of it? If the tree is not just the parts that are coming and goig then does the tree have a soul or something beyond all those parts or is it just a programmed structure that patterns for a while for no reason other than it can?
