Question

Why is it that men are always raised and brought up with the idea that opening up and expressing emotion is viewed as weakness. Because of this stigma I've lost good relationships because I just couldn't bring myself to open up and express myself in fear of being ridiculed and being seen as weak from my partner.

Beautiful thing that you don't always realize til much later? You can, dude. More importantly: you should. Feelings aren't "gay" or "feminine" - they're literally your body reacting to stimulus and trying to motivate us to self-preserve. The problem is they're unclear and often triggered by misunderstanding. Perhaps most importantly - it's not always clear that we can choose not to act on them. The important part though is that your feelings are real, and you're a stronger person for acknowledging and considering them. Best of luck King 👏

Society has sheepish way of thinking, just following each others example unfortunately. They will say they are not judging but 🤷🏻‍♀️ So parents to protect kids from it, they teach them that way not thinking of relationship issues in future.
