What's the difference between fate and destiny?

I know these terms have been often used interchangeably, but is there a difference for you? If so, explain the difference. Would just like to hear other people's thoughts on this.

I feel like both are forced on you, but fate you don't do anything to get, and destiny you must do something to get. You must do it because it is your destiny.

Destiny is a chance at something, fate does not give chances I guess? Of course it gets confusing when you leaving life up to fate and will accept your destiny. Destiny is something you can run from fate is something you'll try to fight against? Dunno.
