Except for the chaos theory, which states that because something happens does not mean it was supposed to happen that way. Example would be the invention of penicillin, discovered by accident and yet was able to help in some diseases. Same goes for polio. What you are referring to is more about someone's ego or never being wrong, which shows the marionette string theory or manipulation of events. Because something happens does not mean that someone wanted it to happen. Also, it can be compared to when you eat food. It does not always form a poop, sometimes it forms vomit or throw up, sometimes it turns into blubber, sometimes it turns into muscle, sometimes it rots into the soil as fertilizer for the next years crops. The distance between causation and correlation are complete opposite. (edited)
