You have the ability to do good or bad and good choices and bad ones yes but do we have free will I mean sometimes I think to my self I'd love to just stay at home for a week and do nothing but then your whole life fall apart lose your job and everything with it so are we really free or are we just doing what we have to and survive

It depends on how you define free will! A definition of free will that is compatible with causal determinism is 'to be able to want what we want to want'. This is a compatibilist definition. Free will can also be seen as a deeper, transcendental, freedom. For this to be true, causal determinism would have to be false. This is a libertarian standpoint. I'm a libertarian myself!
