The Trolley Problem

Philippa Ruth Foot introduced the "trolley problem" with virtue ethics of double effect. You're driving a Trolley and the brakes go out, there's 5 people on the tracks that you will hit. There's a lever to switch tracks and there's 1 person in that track. What do you choose? There's no right answer. Now add in other factors; the 5 people are homicidal and the one person is a victim, you're a passenger or a bystander, etc. Now let's switch it up; you're a doctor and there's 5 people who need organ transplants but you have to take the life of one healthy person. What do you do? If you don't save the 5 lives, can you tell their families why? Again, there's no wrong answer. This is a thought experiment to help understand where your morals are, who you are at the core.
