This will sound weird but hear me out the first 3 days are a little tough but once you get past that it is easier. Everytime you get a craving take a few deep breaths and smile and think of those painful times smoking and how good it is to be free also dont run from people around you smoking or situations you use to smoke in, go out continue your life and remember from the moment you quit that you became a non smoker. The worst thing for me were the cigarette nightmares where you wake up feeling as if you smoked and you feel so regretful but remember it is a nightmare which means you dont want to go back there. You'll notice after 3 weeks you feel much better in a 2 months your breathing gets better and don't be afraid of coughing or if you get a flu, its just the toxins leaving your body. I hope this helped, I needed to know I could make a year before I could even tell people what I think worked for me.

I smoked most of my teens and 20s and quit multiple times in my 30s after starting again in high stress situations. It's been about 10 years now since I stopped. It's an addiction. You never become a non-smoker, you become a smoker who choses to no longer smoke, and there may be times you fall down again. Just remember that falling down is not the important part. Picking yourself back up again is the important part. Exhibition of persistence. 🙃

You've got this! If I may make a suggestion, check out Urge Surfing meditation. It can be really helpful when the cravings come up.
