Which starter Pokémon would you choose if you could only pick based on personality?

Summary
Fire starters led the way, with Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic and Chimchar named again and again for their warm but explosive temperaments. Water types came in a very close second, powered by Totodile, Mudkip, Froakie, Popplio and Oshawott, while grass picks like Bulbasaur, Treecko, Chikorita and Turtwig were praised as the chillest companions.
