Human mindset

I play chess online daily. I have seen lot of people resign the game, the moment they lose the queen. They lost only the queen..its not like the entire game is over and yet they resign the game. People give up easily... Don't you want to fight till the end. You want to make it that much easier for ur opponent... Do you stand untill the end...

At some rating it becomes exceedingly unlikely that a player fails to convert a full queen advantage. However, if there is anything to play for, you should continue, of course!

I'm not good at chess but I'll keep going. Let's lose when it's actually time to lose

3y

I give my queen in exchange for the opponent's precisely because many feel lost without it.

I hate it too. Even if you know you're going to loose, I like to see just how far I can still make it.

3y

I agree

3y

Depending on your rating and given position it's probably better to resign then spend energy on a clear technical win. Like if there's 5 minutes on the clock and your down a queen it's probably better time to figure out what happened rather than what's going to happen.
