Is dating easier or harder than it use to be....

My take is its both, it's easier because you can adjust preferences to what you like, and swipe left or right, you can do a big write up on yourself etc. Flipside You cannot get context or emotion across in writing, theres no conviction in your voice. I've come from a 17yr relationship and it's a brand new world it's daunting. Im use to meeting people in person and getting a vibe at a bar or just by chance, it's like it's taken the effort out of dating. This is all my view so please don't hate

I'd say dating is harder in this day in age. It's hard to make connections through online services and most people aren't really willing to socialize amongst the people they encounter on the internet or apps due to fears of It going sour.

As a matter of fact, adjusting your preferences to what "you like" is immensely counterproductive: we get accustomed to get what "we like" and stop trying to soothe rough edges and stop trying to fix relationships and communicating with the idea that "she isn't as I like", also it gives you the false idea that there's some kind of better partner out there, one who checks all the tabs. It's very damaging. Also, any dating site is very vision-oriented, and those less graceful (as with society standards) are in a complete disadvantage, it pushes a false agenda that looks are what matter and it's very, very destructive.

I think it's so much harder! I benefit greatly from in person interaction because I enjoy the context of body language, tone of voice, and also just looking at someone in the eyes. There's almost a romanticism to meeting humans in the wild now because we're all so plugged in. I also think the Internet has created a delusion of perfectionism in terms of body image, success, popularity, etc. that causes people to either think they are not good enough or that there's always someone better than who you may be interacting with, IMO. I think we should burn the internet or at least contact customer service and complain. 🤭🙃
