Never being able to settle

So I've had the issue of having an overpowering need to change job every 2-3 years... Not only do I change jobs, I need to change the field in which I work as well 😳 You can imagine it causes quite some conflict. I used to blame it in not finding the right area, after all some jobs were intended to only be temporary, but now i'm at the crossroad where I've finally taken a Bachelors found a great workplace within the field, where there's always room for growth and new skills... But now the two year mark is quickly approaching and I'm getting restless again... 😢 Am I alone in this struggle and do anyone of you know how to break free from this never ending cycle? All I want to do right now is go back to school but my debt is getting rather fat and I only have a year left of my student funds... It must be used wisely πŸ˜…

I'm making the assumption that your initially super positive about the job initially then as it goes on and you learn more it becomes really easy and then gets too mundane. Correct me if I'm wrong. If your in a job where targets are a thing your manager should increase your target to add more challenge. You can try take on responsibilities from other parts of the company. I was bored as hell at my job and kinda lost my passion for it. Then we got a new CTO who is making loads of changes and putting together more training. Now I'm alil more invested in the role :3 It might help you to check out some advice to ADHD people on jobs since they are typically individuals who get bored super quick.

I understand the struggles, even as a uni student. Living life totally by ourselves is one of the greatest achievements of all. Anyways, nobody would get(understand) it unless they are skin to our shadows. Having a satisfying job is a rarest part of our imaginations. It's good that you got to have couple of jobs and for trial and error. Most of us just get stuck plethora of situations and couldn't get out of it. That's the flow of life and it goes on. If it slows down or stops, we would never be the same battling. Sometimes I feel settling is just a dream or not for everyone, because most of the things come through fate. The person who hasn't had much efforts or any other stuff gets it by his way. But one who's sticked to, rarely gets out of the framework. Finally, coming to the expenses point - cut down the requirement list of things, lower the maintenance/ bit standard. That would help far better πŸ‘, and makes you feel wiser and proud in the last stage when you packup. (edited)

What you’re framing as restlessness can also be viewed as adaptability. Your desire to learn and do new things is a classic INTP trait. Embrace it! It has both power and peril, and the good you can do with it is your gift to yourself and even the world. Don’t spend energy worrying about trying to find the β€œright” thing. Figure out what *works* for you and forget about the rest. (edited)
