Gender Role Stereotypes in Society

The COLD HARD Truth. People's conceptions of who they are and how they ought to lead their lives are disrupted when they consider gender to be a factor in those questions. This contributes to the contentious nature of the topic. No one enjoys the idea that they may be living a falsehood or that they may have been brainwashed by their society.  At this stage in the development of our scientific understanding of human beings, it is very evident that who we are is fairly explicitly a constant interaction between the expression of our genes and the demands that are placed on us by the environment. *I fail to understand why people of various genders should be treated differently.* Gender expression is neither an inherent "essential" quality of humans nor a social construct that is completely removed from biology - *it is neither/nor. Humans are first and foremost a species of adaptability, otherwise we would not be able to rise to the top of the food chain. When I say we're adaptable, I am referring to our ability to take what we have and make the best of it, to be resourceful, and to know when to take charge of our own destiny. To thrive in society, we must learn to cooperate with each other through evolution. According to some experts, the objective of society is to pass on crucial knowledge, not just genes, but also the beliefs and values that have proven effective in maintaining our survival. Cooperative living led to the creation of civilization, which we now refer to as a society. In many ways, civilization is the pinnacle of human achievement and the closest we've come to immortality. Coins have two faces. A society is more than the sum of its parts; rather, it is a complex system that has its own distinct personality. In a civilization that has been repeating itself for a long time, you're born into it. This can lead people to adopt a set of outmoded knowledge, ideas, and values, which can lead to a lack of progress in the future. People in each generation debate whether or not to pass down the knowledge they gathered from their elders, which is why there will always be "conservative" and "progressive" forces in societyGender roles and stereotypes may have arisen because of real but minor differences in the way men and women think. Society, on the other hand, may have gone too far in exacerbating these disparities, in which case we should consider shifting our perspective on them in order to allow people to be creative and in control of their own destiny. For the sake of preserving knowledge, passing it on to the next generation can turn into something silly if you don't take the time to consider whether the knowledge is still relevant or beneficial. Adaptation is a natural part of evolution, so we should do the same (i.e. survival of the fittest). Since the beginning of gender relations, men have been viewed as logical thinkers, while women have been viewed as emotional feelers. This perception of men and women has persisted even today. Many factors have contributed to its pervasiveness in our culture over the years. Thinking types frequently have this misconception about Feeling types because they are unable to identify and control their own feelings, therefore they assume that Feeling kinds are overly sentimental. Feeling types have a tendency to presume that Thinking types lack feeling since they don't display it in the same way that they do. This is because feeling types place a high priority on understanding other people. As a consequence of this, males who are Feelers have a challenging time navigating our culture due to the fact that they are frequently accused of being overly sensitive or weak. Some people believe that female intellectuals are unfeminine or heartless since these characteristics are associated with femininity and are seen as flaws. ENTP x4 Bonus Understanding: Be conscious of any propensity you may have to act out a gender role that conforms to a stereotype. Put each other to the test by forcing your thinking to go beyond the bounds of limiting (stereotypical) assumptions. 🥰 Thanks for reading :P Remember: The Truth Shall Set You Free! 🤓
