What is the term for this?
This could happen with a lot of scenarios, but I will just just one. Suppose that you are quiet as a kid and you get labeled as the quiet one. At some point you want to talk, but you feel like people will make such a big deal about it like "HEY, it talked?" So you keep quiet. When you grow up and get around people who don't know you at all, you are free to do what ever, but you are kind of stuck in this lane and it feels weird to change. Since they don't know you, you risk it and talk. You get outside your lane enough that it feels normal. But then, you end up going back to the childhood people and you feel like you have to confine yourself to the exact same lane as before or their world will crumble. What is that called, when you get kind of trapped like that? There is nothing holding you back, but you make your own prison based on what you think others think of you.

I will say it is "labeling" Although we all learned not to care too much about how other people thought about us, in reality, it is hard not to, because we still care about how people judging us, more or less. As I grew older, I learned it is hard to ignore people who are labeling us, but we can put an expiration date on each label. Yeah, I am a silent one, for 3 seconds. Sure! I am the weirdo, for maybe an hour. We can decided how long we want to stay with a labelπ

Its a number of factors at play. 1- introvert (the quiet kid) 2- social labeling ( role as the quiet kid) 3- social pressure (the forced adhearence to that label-"it talked"addon bullying is often a factor in maintaning social role.) 4-social role acceptence (keeping quiet not rocking the boat) 5-social anxiety (comfort zone vs new things) 6- social freedom from impossed behavior. Also can be looked at in psycology as Introvert behavior > negetive feed back > self limitaion > personal awareness. (edited)

I'm saddened by the amount of pseudoscience that goes around psychology in this app
With all due respect, but MBTI is not science, it is based on Jung studies (much of which is dated) and lacks scientific proof Like, I know that not everything is science, like psychoanalysis is not science but that doesn't take away its value, it just can't be deprived by the scientific method (I... read more

Nitpicking/complaining
Theres always gonna be someone that has to nitpick every detail about something. Is this existence even enjoyable for them? Instead of enjoying an experience or production that actually followed the source material. They have hyperfocus everything that could have been done better. Idk seems like a... read more
