29dExperiment: Rejecting High Attraction & Choosing someone boring
Since for us men it is wrong to have feelings, it is a mistake to be vulnerable, it is a mistake to get attached, it is a mistake to fall deeply in love naturally, it is wrong to be emotional.. (cause that's what modern society says) In my own experience I could never have who I truly felt attracted to or with who I had strong feelings for. So.. I came up with this crazy experiment. 😅 I wonder what would happen if we would completely ignore or reject the ones who we feel highly attracted to and purposely date or go after those that we are not attracted to at all! 😅 No feelings, no vibe, no chemistry, no love, no passion, no excitement, no fun. Just choosing someone boring who makes us feel nothing. What could possibly happen? 😅 (edited)

I think it also determines what you mean by boring. Some people might think being consistent and not having drama is boring. But iver time that person becomes attractive because of how solid they are. Rather than attractive or boring maybe i’d look at what values you have in common with them and maybe attraction will come
More than an experiment, it seems to me a way to protect oneself from the possibility of suffering. Attraction cannot be commanded, but neither should a "boring" person be chosen just because they don't engage us emotionally. Perhaps the real challenge is to get to know someone without idealizing them, allowing interest to grow over time, but without forcing feelings that don't exist.
I don't think I can consciously choose a boring or an annoying person to be with. I can give people chance and I cam avoid attractive people. Honestly sometimes I have got panic attacks when going on dates with someone I felt attractive. I have only felt comfortable with people whom I feel like are human. So then I discovered, attractive people are humans as well. It is me who pedastalise them. So, the fact that I feel uncomfortable around the people I find attractive is something to be worked. Ironically, for that I need to get used to getting panic attacks and keep asking out attractive people on dates for that rather than avoiding them.
Or you can work on yourself/identity and your confidence so you can attract the right people in your life :)
besides gender, i think attachment styles matter here? people with insecure attachment styles will sometimes or often perceive securely attached people as boring
