One of the reasons male suicide rates are so high in our society is the persistent adherence to traditional views of masculinity. As someone navigating the process of healing from my own traumatic experiences, including the impact of a toxic ex-wife, I can attest to how societal expectations make it nearly impossible for men to openly discuss their struggles. The stigma surrounding vulnerability in men perpetuates silence, leading to a devastating sense of isolation. This cultural dynamic needs to change. We must encourage men to express their emotions freely and foster an environment where women are equally open to listening and supporting. Traditional gender roles should give way to a model of mutual support, where it is understood that men, too, may sometimes need more help—and that’s perfectly okay. It’s also time to acknowledge that toxic femininity exists. Just as toxic masculinity can harm women and men, toxic behaviors from women can have a profound and damaging impact. For my own well-being, I’ve chosen to distance myself from toxic individuals, regardless of gender. Enough is enough. It’s time for healthier, more supportive connections in all directions.

I disagree on the reason why men's suicide rates are so high. Lots of men feel ignored and disposable from a young It's not uncommon to find men single (never had a relationship) well into their 30s but it's almost impossible to find a woman in the same situation. While women don't have to do anything to be loved by someone, men are completely irrelevant unless they stand out somehow. This reality is experienced and understood by men differently but it is usually the biggest reason, and most men are quite supportive with each other.
