Do you agree ?? And do you feel the same way ?

The other day I saw a girl on reels talking about this idea and honestly… I think she’s so right.. The more addicted we get to social media and different apps and watching other people live their lives, the faster our own days seem to pass. You’re constantly following someone else’s story, wheather its on social media or other websites and apps , you follow their trips, achievements, little moments, relationships … while your own life is happening quietly in the background.. And after a while, you stop feeling like the main character in your own life. You’re just watching everyone else be one. Maybe that’s why time can feel like it’s flying , not because we’re doing too much, but because we’re actually doing so little and spending so much time watching, scrolling and reading about lives other than ours ..

Social media is made to present a "public" image to others. I think it's just an illusion, which in the end can end up depressing and demotivating you. Not everyone is in the same context, no one shows the bad side of their life. In the end, social media is made for us to spend time there, consume an algorithm, and have many aspirations that only appear on the screen. As you say, it's okay to spend time on social media, without forgetting who you are and living the best version of your life. We have little time, and we all have the right to live it fully.

The most effective break with this dynamic is the radical shift from consumption to creation – whether in making, designing, or in real interactions.

It's because of dopamine, social media floods you with dopamine and desensitizes your brain, it makes you addicted and makes it hard to remember things, plus you're not spending much time doing good things that improve life.
