5Well... if I understood your question correctly, and based on my professional and personal experience, Psychology is basically when you talk to someone to solve your problems, while Psychiatry is more of a field where you try to talk to someone to solve your problems, and they'll try to use that as an excuse to medicate you...? Seriously, both personally and professionally, I dislike Psychiatrists.

7I think meds help modulate your neurotransmitters so you feel better whereas psychology is a field that has all to do with mental functioning and is the basis for therapeutic approaches that change the way you think , feel and see things ( which may or may not include medication). I may be wrong so don't just take my word for it.
